At the LIGNA 2017, SERRA will present a new, innovative machine control system that can be used with all SERRA horizontal band sawmills.
With the new ProComfort Plus machine control, the operator can control all the functions of a modern horizontal band sawmills with only two joysticks
On a 21-inch HD touch screen, the operator configures all functions and selects the correct cut patterns. The sawing process as such is fully automatic and is monitored by the operator from the air-conditioned cabin. The quality of the band saw blade is constantly checked during sawing and transferred to the sharpening room with all relevant information when changing the saw blade. At the Ligna the ProComfort Plus will be presented in a specially designed glass cabin. To keep the operator at the height of the saw blade in comfort, the height of the cabin is constantly adjusted. The comfort seat can also be moved sideways within the cabin in order to always have an optimal view of the action.
