Precision meets creativity: The SERRA ME110 at the Royal Cheshire County Show / UK

Tony and Anthony Gate from Bewoodwise gave an impressive demonstration of what’s possible with the SERRA ME 110 mobile bandsaw at the prestigious Royal Cheshire County Show in England. With skilled craftsmanship and a keen sense of design, they showcased the versatility and precision of the mobile bandsaw at the highest level.

A particular highlight was the cutting of ultra-thin cedar wood strips, just 1.5 mm thick. These were artfully woven through a metal railing and transformed into a stylish lattice.

They also demonstrated their expertise with birch wood: the pieces were cut crosswise and in varying thicknesses – from extremely thin to 40 mm thick. The latter were repurposed as elegant stands for wedding cakes.

For an exciting garden project, robust Douglas fir logs were also used, which were precisely prepared with the ME 110.
